Unlike other axe throwing in Portland, we use an open session model. It’s similar to booking an escape room, you buy a ticket for a 90 minute session per person.

Limited Street Parking is available on N. Mississippi and the surrounding streets. It is recommened to allow enough time for parking.
For public transport, Line 4 bus runs on N. Mississippi.
You can also use TriMet's MAX Yellow Line. The Prescott St and Overlook Park light rail stations are located just a few blocks west of Mississippi Ave on N Interstate Ave.

All sessions are approximately 90 minutes, including a safety briefing, coaching, games, and plenty of throwing time.

Open session means anyone who purchases a ticket for the same time slot can join in!
While most axe throwing venues in Oregon lean toward first time clientele, we at PDaXe want to build a community. While traveling and teaching in the UK and EU we found that most venues follow this format and saw firsthand the connections that were made from it.

Private Sessions can be booked online via the booking system.
Up to 14 people can book as part of a private session, and your group has exclusive access to the venue.

Each session accommodates up to 14 throwers.

Guests must be 21 or older to participate in public sessions.
Minors may participate during approved private sessions with a parent or legal guardian. Please get in touch if you would like to include minors in a private session.

We offer a curated selection of beer, cider and wine.
Our focus is creating a safe, enjoyable experience where axe throwing comes first.
Guests who appear impaired may be refused alcohol service and participation.

Every session begins with a coach-led safety briefing, and our coaches remain with you throughout your experience.

No. PDaXe sessions are for participants only.
Limiting our venue to booked participants helps us maintain a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

We love our furry friends, but axes and paws aren't the best combination.
For the safety of our guests, staff, and four-legged friends, pets aren't permitted inside PDaXe.
Service animals, as defined by applicable law, are always welcome.

Yes.
Personal axes are welcome provided they:
are suitable for recreational target throwing
are single-bladed
remain fully sheathed while entering and leaving PDaXe
remain sheathed whenever they are not on the throwing floor
Our coaches reserve the right to inspect and refuse any personal axe for safety reasons.

Our coaches may introduce additional throwing techniques, including an underhand throw if time allows.
Please don't attempt unapproved trick shots.

Our coaches will help you find a throw that works for you.

Don't worry—you'll be surprised how quickly you improve.
Helping guests land their first successful throw is one of our favorite parts of the job.

Please arrive no more than five minutes before your scheduled session unless otherwise instructed.

Sessions begin together with a mandatory safety briefing.
Late arrivals will not receive extended throwing time or partial refunds; your session will still end at its originally scheduled time.
Our aim is to accomodate late participants, however participants arriving more than 10 minutes late may be treated as a no-show and canceled without a refund.
Participation and rebooking are at the coach's discretion.

Bookings are non-refundable.
Sessions can be rebooked online up to 7 days before your scheduled session. If your session is within 7 days, depending on your booking and timing, rebooking may be available. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

Yes.
Every participant must complete our Guest Agreement and Assumption of Risk before participating.

We love sharing great moments from PDaXe.
During the waiver process, you can choose whether you'd like to appear in photos or videos. If you opt out, simply remind your coach when you arrive and we'll make reasonable efforts to avoid including you.
